Poem - A cucumber in December

A cucumber
In December
Said
I remember
I remember

Chilling out,
Lying about
In a
Cool, pink gazpacho
Cuddling a tomato

I remember

T'was summer...
I'd murmur
Songs
And Wander
Clad only in coriander

I remember

The thrumming thrill
Of a chill
Chilli
Tickling my knee
In a lemony sea

Then when, I pray
ask, did May
Become
This mint-numbing, freezing
sneeze-wheezing
December?

I don't remember....
